R-Value Concrete wins awards!

We are pleased to announce that R-Value Concrete Structures LLC has been awarded the 2007 Exemplary Project from the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association. This award recognizes projects that demonstrate the best use of cutting edge efficient and renewable technologies. R-Value was recognized for the integral role our installation of ICF's and Lite-Deck played in the ultra efficiency of the project; (5 star) as well as the many green benefits of Insulated Concrete Form construction. Our installation of ICF's was a major factor in obtaining the first platinum rated home in the state of Michigan under the LEED for homes rating system.

A national award for the same project comes from the ICFA--Insulated Concrete Forms Association--as their 2008 Excellence Award winner in the large residential category. Read all about it here.

This has gained us more national media coverage! Check out the March 2008 edition of Concrete Homes magazine for an article called "The Cutting Edge".

Also see us in Permanant Buildings and Foundations e-newsletter. We are the fifth article down.

Says Jake Vierzen, president of R-Value Concrete Structures: "This award is proof positive of the sweat and tears we have put into building an excellent company on an excellent product! Special thanks go to Adam Bearup of Hybrid Homes and Eric Hughes of Image Design for the opportunity to work with two of the best."
